The short version
If something we fitted fails within the warranty window, bring it back. We will inspect, agree a path forward, and either repair, replace or refund — usually all within the same week.
Workmanship warranty
Every paid job at Zumofy Auto Care Sdn Bhd includes a 12-month or 20,000-kilometre warranty on parts we fitted and the labour we performed, whichever comes first. The card is issued the day you collect the vehicle and a copy is kept on file under your plate number.
What the warranty covers
- Parts that fail prematurely under normal driving conditions.
- Labour to remove the defective part and fit a replacement.
- Diagnosis time spent confirming the fault is warranty-eligible.
What the warranty does not cover
- Wear-and-tear items consumed in normal use (brake pads, wiper blades, tyres, light bulbs).
- Damage from accidents, kerb hits, flooding or any modification done by a different workshop after our visit.
- Issues caused by failure to follow scheduled maintenance after the work was done.
- Customer-supplied parts where we fitted the part on a "fit-only" basis. The labour is still warranted; the part is not.
Refunds for unstarted work
If you cancel a confirmed booking before work begins, any deposit you paid is refunded in full. The only exception is parts already ordered to your specific vehicle that the supplier will not accept back — the parts cost in that case may be deducted, with full disclosure of the supplier's invoice.
Refunds for in-progress work
If you ask us to stop a job that has already started, we invoice for the work done up to that point and refund the difference against any pre-payment. We will provide a written breakdown of the labour hours and parts already used.
How to make a warranty claim
- Contact us by phone or email with your plate number and a short description of the symptom.
- We schedule a re-inspection slot, usually within two working days.
- We diagnose and confirm whether the issue is warranty-eligible.
- If yes, we repair or replace at no cost. If a refund is the better path, we issue it within five working days.
- If no, we explain why in writing and quote any optional remedial work clearly — there is no obligation to proceed.
Disputes
If we disagree on whether something is warranty-eligible, we are happy to involve an independent assessor of your choice. We will accept the assessor's reasonable opinion as a tie-breaker.
